JUNJUN MEDRAN IS APPOINTED AS PRESIDENT OF PAMILYANG OFWs-UNITED KINGDOM CHAPTER.
Teodoro “JunJun” Medran, Jr. (center) -- who was named “Nurse of the Year” during the 2011 Star Awards of the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals in the United Kingdom (UK) and who was cited by the Philippine Embassy in London “for being a good example for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and struggling parents” – was given a plaque of appreciation for his outstanding achievement by the Pamilyang Overseas Filipino Workers-Small and Medium Entrepreneurs Network Foundation Inc. (Pamilyang OFWs) last April 15, 2012 at the Pamilyang OFWs Theme Park and Resort (with website address http://www.pamilyangofwsthemepark.com/) in Barangay Maligaya, Gloria, Oriental Mindoro. Mindoro vice governor Thaddeus Venturanza, and Pamilyang OFWs executive director Lani Pedregosa. JunJun Medran -- who was appointed as the president of the Pamilyang OFWs-United Kingdom Chapter by the Pamilyang OFWs trustees – will help promote the theme park and its framed butterflies in the United Kingdom. As of the Commission on Filipinos Overseas Stock Estimate of Overseas Filipinos on December 2009, the total number of OFWs in the UK is 200,987 which is composed of 91,852 permanent, 99,135 temporary, and 10,000 irregular. For the past 10 years, the Pamilyang OFWs (with website address -- http ://www.pamilyangofw.com/) has organized quarterly expositions at the Department of Trade and Industry’s Philippine Trade Training Center in Pasay City. The expositions are a one-stop-shop for jobs, livelihood, investment and business opportunities which will ensure the transformation of a majority of OFW families into community entrepreneurs.

Former overseas Filipino worker to the United Arab Emirates turned inspirational music singer, recording artist, and theater actress Sarah M. Balabagan (center) was the guest entertainer at the opening of the Handog kay P-Noy Jobs and Livelihood Expo 2012 (Part 1) and the 7th Pamilyang OFWs-MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs) Summer Expo which was organized last week by the Pamilyang OFW-SME Network Foundation Inc. (Pamilyang OFWs) at the Department of Trade and Industry’s Philippine Trade Training Center in Pasay City.
