(Pamilyang OFWs) announced yesterday that thousands of overseas and local jobs await qualified applicants who will visit the Handog kay P-Noy Jobs and Livelihood Expo 2011 (Part 4) and the 6th Pamaskong Handog sa Pamilyang OFWs at MSMEs Expo which will be held this Friday (Dec. 9) and Saturday (Dec. 10) at the Philippine Trade Training Center, Roxas Boulevard corner Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue, Pasay City. The available jobs in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Singapore, Taiwan and United Arab Emirates include accountants, admin assistants, agricultural engineers, architects, archive clerks, art directors, artists/painters, carpenters, cashiers, checkers, chef cooks, civil surveyors, cleaners, cooks, domestic helpers, dozer operators, draftsmen, electrical engineers, frontliner receptionists, furnishing carpenters, furniture artists, grader operators, helpers, hydro crane operators, janitresses, laborers, landscapers, lathe/milling machine operators, office assistants, QA/QC Safety Engineers, secretaries, and waitresses. Twin expo to ensure transformation of OFW families into entrepreneurs Two expositions that will ensure the transformation of a majority of the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families into entrepreneurs will be held on Dec. 9-10 at the Philippine Trade Training Center, Roxas Boulevard corner Sen. Tetangco, Jr. reported that the OFW r emittances coursed through banks rose to US$1.6 billion in July 2010, posting a year-on-year growth of 8.2 percent. He said that this favorable development brought cumulative remittances for the first seven months of the year to US$10.7 billion, higher by 7.1 percent from the year-ago level, with remittances from sea-based and land-based workers expanding by 9.4 percent and 6.5 percent, respectively.
